Seddiner See

Although we haven't found a place to live yet, we have found a golf club! My husband was a member of this club before we left Europe seven years ago. Since we have friends that still play there, we decided to join as well. Now we've really just got to find a home!

  5. Well, it looks like you are making progress. Years and years ago we belonged to a country and golf club and it was such fun. I like hearing you make your gifts, too. The quilted table runners were a new one this year and easy to put together. You quilt as you go. A cannot knit anymore because of the joints in my thumbs...way too painful. If ever you are in need of an idea, email me. I have bogs hat, mitten, and scarf patterns as well as all sorts of patterns for hand sewn goodies from felt and fabric. genie

  10. G'day Hal, lovely - I've tracked you down. Just caught up with the final posts back at Toronto, pleased to hear the trip to Oz went well (you know I'll never understand you loving it's heat though :) and now, I look forward to some armchair travel around Berlin! Hope you find a home soon, and enjoy your new chapter!

  12. It's often harder in a big city - Berlin has so many neighborhoods! We lived there too many years ago, to tell you anything but wish you success:)

  14. Actually, that could be a huge plus, joining the golf club before finding your new home. You'll be able to tap into a lot of good information about where to look and where to avoid. Certainly is a beautiful club house!
