Old stuff somehow looks better to me in black and white. Plus I love the name of the restaurant next door to to this fabulous entrance. For more relics, take a look at Rubbish Tuesday.

Is anyone else having problems with blogger emailing comments? I used to get an email for every comment I receive on this blog, but now some are not coming through. Strange...

  1. It looks quite distinctive!

Blogger is having problems today. I'm only seeing a single post on my blog roll, the most recent. Fortunately the list of blogs is still on the left, so I can go through the list alphabetically and check who's posting. Apparently it's a bug they're working on.

i've heard a few folks saying their blog reading roll is messed up today. i'm guessing blogger's having issues again.

  3. Yes, Blogger is stupid! Google is stupid. Blogger was bad enough before Google bought 'em out. Now there's no hope. I'm going to go to the Noodeli and meditate over some good food. I do like the black and white here. The name of the deli is confusing, though. Is it Noodel i, or I noodle, or Noodeling and they forgot the last few letters? I dunno. But it really doesn't matter in the overall scheme of things. I'm just trying to tease you a bit!

    1. Love your teases Lowell!
I read it as new deli or perhaps New Dehli. I think this is part of the charm of the name!

    1. Rubbish Tuesday is named after my blog which is called Rubbish by Roan. The term Rubbish is meant to be sarcasm. As I hope no one will think my photos are really Rubbish, although some of them are. On Tuesdays we post old things such as this beautiful building. The only criteria is the posted item must be old.

  7. This has a great timeless quality to it, it would have worked in sepia too!

  9. Nice photo. No, the only trouble I have with comments is that Google+ does not allow me to comment on any blog that uses Google+. They're very selfish that way. lol

  14. I agree about the old stuff in black and white. This is a great shot. As for comment emails, I used to only get emails after I approved the comments but now I get them as they are published--most of the time. There are the odd few that don't generate an email at all.

  15. Love the photo!
As an AOL user, I find that AOL is bouncing certain emails that are blog-generated. Or someone is bouncing them and AOL is telling me. Anyway, I think it's from an anti-spam measure that is overzealous.
