Luther's chair

Luther's chair sits in front of a mural of sorts. You'll see it is also represented in the painting. Hope you have enjoyed this tour through the Luther House. I will definitely have to go back to the city for the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation in 2017. Until then, you can find more murals at Monday Mural.

  1. Martin had a hard bottom. My wife is Lutheran and will be interested in these.

If you are in London, I can tell you where to find Karl Marx's writing desk. It's not in a public location but the manager will happily take you there on request.

    1. I will definitely keep that in mind! I've also seen the Methodist dude's chair in Lausanne. (Can't remember his name now).

  2. Wow. Quite a nice way to end this Martin Luther series.

And, why yes, Jack the Photographer was there last Thursday, the very same night I was at West Street Grill. To my surprise, no Meryl and no paparazzi.

  7. It's a fabulous painting Hal and the very clever placement of the chair gives it a slightly three dimensional touch don't you think?

  10. I like this. Something you could look at for quite a while. Perhaps the reason for the chair; may as well be comfortable while enjoying it.

  12. That's quite a chair and I guess the mural depicts it in its original setting, which looks as fancy as the chair. The Luther House is a wonderful place to visit. Thanks for the tour!

  15. The chair is distinctive but not all that comfortable looking. The mural that it faces is cool and really puts the visitor into another century. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
