Volkspark Wilmersdorf

This is a stone to commemorate the Association of the Volkspark Wilmersdorf. I found it during a recent walk and thought it was worthy of a picture! Hope you enjoy it too.

PS: I've got another beautiful Viennese cafe up on my travel blog. You can see it here.

  2. Looks also like it was part of a bigger construction but found as a piece and used for this occasion.

  4. It looks like a petrified snail. What is the association all about, I'm wondering.

    1. In "ye olde days" local parks were sponsored by local people (I think). I think the group that sponsored this park wanted to be remembered. Or have some good advertising. ;-)

  11. I kind of guessed it must refer to a park sponsored by the people ... Based on what I know about the Volkswalk Association. Very pretty in black and white.
