Grave of an unknown soldier found in my local cemetery.

Do you like it better in black and white or color?

  1. Definitely the black and white.

  2. I like both, actually, but the black and white speaks of the era, WWII, as there was no colour TV or film back then. However, I get the same feeling looking at both, wondering if they will ever find out whose grave it is.

  3. I usually like colour but here I like the B&W best.

  4. I think the color as the surrounding color dramatizes the gravestone.

  5. Or just a child, six years of age? The end of the war ravaged the civilian population.

Color vs. black and white depends on whether you are going for a period or contemporary look. Personally, I refer the color.

    1. The grave was in the military section of the cemetery, leading me to believe this person was a soldier. But I'll take a closer look the next time I'm there.

  8. I go for the color because that shows what it is without thinking to much about the period.

  13. Given it's a very sombre image, I'll go with the b&w one.

  14. The dates refer to the dates of the WW2 ...a soldier found and buried with no name.Sad.
