February theme day: Scene from a coffee house

I am so excited the February theme day is finally here! There's hardly anything I like better than spending an afternoon in a cafe with a good book or some knitting, though with my job, I have less time for those pleasures.

Today we're looking inside the Wild Caffe, one of my favorite local spots. It's a quick walk from my home and I have spent quite a few afternoons here enjoying the cosy atmosphere.

In addition to delicious coffee, Wild Caffe also serves a daily lunch special and a variety of cakes. When I stopped by a few days ago, chocolate cake happened to be on the menu and it's rare for me to turn down anything chocolate. I promise, it tasted as good as it looks!

It's a new month again and I hope you've enjoyed this look inside one of Berlin's lovely coffee houses. For more coffee scenes from around the world, take a look here.

  8. Such luxury! My theme day post, which goes up in about three hours, shows a more likely place for me to get a cuppa.

  9. What a fascinating place, Hal! I love that "cup tree" in front and was enjoying the stroll through the inside. Your final shot stopped me in my tracks. The cake and coffee look like heaven. If I were more of a jet setter I'd beg you to meet me there...soon! Nice post for today's theme.

  14. This is my favourite kind of cafe Hal, cosy welcoming and eclectic and if the coffee is good even better. You've shown the Wild Caffe in a very inviting way.. the chocolate cake had nothing to do with it :)

  20. Happy February. The more I think of it the more I think I'd skip the cake for that beautiful cup of coffee (if I had to choose). I love places like that where you can hang out comfortably reading or whatever (and where you feel comfortable even if you are alone).

  25. What an interesting café! It looks like someone's living room. When I was in Berlin in the summer, I loved the armchairs and sofas on the sidewalk!
