Political statement?

I'm sure this mural means something, I'm just not sure what. Mural lovers will find more street art at Monday Mural.

  1. Is that Karl Marx and Freud up in the clouds. Maybe the artist meant to say they have their head in the clouds and their policies left the country in some sort of desolation...I would disagree heartily with that, but... Re your comment about golf: I'd easily ride in a cart in Germany as I fit both of the descriptions you mentioned: crippled and older than Methuselah! They don't call me the OCBM for nothing (an acronym for Old, Crippled Blind Man)! 😇

  2. ...I enjoy art that make a political statement, art is meant to make us think.

  3. I would say that Marx and Engels see from heaven that their thoughts are spilled by modern society and drive the people to craziness.

  4. It does look like Marx up there.

  5. I studied it for a while but, I don't think I get the message either. Perhaps s.c. is right.

  6. I see Marx too. And it seems Hitler wearing a Napolean style hat is peeking from behind a building. So whatever the political message, it's clearly a doozy. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  7. It's hard to se all the details in the photo and I can't read much of the German, but Marx and Engels seem awfully detached from the woes of the world. I don't think that's Hitler on the left but rather Charlie Chaplin. He's wearing a bowler hat.
