It turns out the Cinema Checkpoint isn't a cinema at all, but a second-hand shop. Perhaps the interesting name draws in curious shoppers? I know I'd like to go back and take a look. I was there on a Sunday when all the shops in Berlin are closed. For more murals, take a look at Monday Mural.
What a colorful, conglomerate mess! I'd think, though, it would be worth stopping by to see what it's like inside.
ReplyDeleteI'd be in like a flash Hal.. not on Sunday :) Tres colourful mural.

ReplyDeleteColourful part of town.
ReplyDeleteSuch a rich town
ReplyDeleteInteresting murals surrounding the entrance. I can always find interesting things in a second-hand shop.
ReplyDeleteWow, very colourful!
ReplyDeleteThis is an unusual set of murals. Perhaps it draws in customers for the shop?
ReplyDeleteINteresting way to draw customers -- the unusual name and the unusual murals both. I like the cheerful colors.
ReplyDeleteNice entrance for a secondhand shop.
ReplyDeleteHow colourful! Love it.

It's so cheerful! Neat.
ReplyDeleteInteresting entrance with all those colours. I definitely would want to step inside just to see what's in there.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a happy place!
ReplyDeleteQuite colourful!
ReplyDeleteYes, that's quite a mmmm... colourful shop, you must check out the inside. When I saw 'Cinema Checkpoint' I thought it was a movie theatre near the old 'checkpoint charlie'...
ReplyDeleteIt was very nice and interesting to see that collapsible gate. It's not common in the US but it's very common in most countries in Asia. So, it was very nice to see it in Berlin as well. A very colorful picture.
ReplyDeleteSome businesses come up with the strangest names...great mural.
ReplyDeleteEverything about the scene reminds me of the Haight in San Francisco. I guess hippie style is not boxed in by time or place. :-)
ReplyDeleteTake 25 to Hollister
Yes, I'd certainly want to take a look too. I also agree with Su-sieee. It does look a little like San Francisco's Haight Ashbury.
ReplyDeletevery pretty mural...and maybe a good indication of what it is like inside!
ReplyDeleteYou have been to a colourful part of the city.
ReplyDeleteHappy new week!
Muito interessante este cinema.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

ReplyDeleteI hope you get to go inside soon. I'm curious about what you'll find in there. I'm pretty sure it will have some great stuff.
How nice colorful wall.
ReplyDeleteWell, it is certainly bright and attention-getting.
