Hark the herald angels sing!

I really liked these angels that decorated the Schloss Charlottenburg Christmas Market this year. They're quite simple, but make a big impact, especially in the dark!

Big wheel

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make the rounds to all of the Christmas Markets in Berlin this year, but I did make it to some of the best. This giant ferris wheel was set up at the market near the Nikolaiviertel. The colors are not so Christmas-y to me, but it does make a good landmark when you're meeting other people there (don't ask me how I know this).

I hope that you've all been having a wonderful holiday season so far. We are headed off to Florida tomorrow for a bit of relaxing golf under the sun before celebrating with my family. I have a few posts scheduled, but I probably won't have time to get around to all of your blogs. Enjoy this time up to Christmas and see you in the New Year! 

Balls of color

I was recently invited to dine at the Wannseeterassen and I was immediately taken by these colorful light fixtures that greet guests in the foyer. I like how they shine and reflect at the same time. You'll find more reflections at Weekend Reflections.

It's Friday again! I've got my phone interview this afternoon which I'm nervous and excited about. Maybe I'll be back in the workforce before the holidays, I hope so. Do you have any big plans for the weekend? My hubs is out of town, so I will probably spend some leisurely time wandering the city with my camera or hanging out in a coffee shop. Whatever your plans are, have fun!

Colorful tree

There is certainly no shortage of decoration around town at this time of year. I found this beautifully decorated tree on Potsdamer Platz. I especially like all the color! I can hardly believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve. All my shopping is done - how about yours?

A star

A beautiful starry decoration adorns the window at the gym where I like to work out sometimes. The move-in day went pretty well. Our furniture and stuff has moved in, even if we haven't, but hopefully we'll be able to make our new house a home in the next few days. There are just a few remaining projects that need to be completed before we can really unpack and get settled. I hope once that's done, I'll still have some time to enjoy the holiday season!

Golden days

I have actually featured this scene back in 2010 on my travel blog. The decorations don't change much over the years, but why should they when they're so gorgeous! Hope you are having a great weekend. We are making the last preparations for our move on Monday, including painting the walls. Hope we can get it all done in time.

Decorative reflections

Saint Lucia's lights

Christmas decorations are up at the Saint Lucia's Market in Prenzlauerberg. This particular market has a Swedish flare!

Sparkly tree and lamppost

I wish a photo could really show the sparkle that was on this tree. It was really nice, especially against the backdrop of another gray day (although I can't complain too much, at least it's not cold).  This festive tree comes to you from a small Weihnachtsmarkt on Wilmersdorfer Straße. It's not one of the nicest markets around town, but you can at least stop at the cute huts for a little fortification in between all your shopping stops.

Tall tree

I love all the lights and decoration you find around town this time of year. This decorated tree comes to you from the Christmas market on Ku'damm. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!

Holiday sparkles!

I showed you a daytime view of the Ku'damm from my gym and now it's time for something even better! Berlin's famous shopping street always looks good at this time of the year, but it's especially nice from above. 

Friday is finally here! I hope you have big plans for the weekend. My husband and I are going to look at some more apartments, some of which even seem promising.
