A trip to the Monkey Bar

Last week I made a trip to the Monkey Bar with some colleagues that were visiting from our US offices. It's a very popular cocktail bar here in Berlin, but I thought we wouldn't have trouble getting in before 6.30pm. I was wrong. 

We only waited 10 - 15 minutes though. The views at the top over the monkey cages at the Berlin Zoo were worth it and the drinks were also surprisingly good, if expensive. I'm ready to monkey around again anytime! For more signs, take a look at Signs. Signs.

Festspielhaus

A look at the bar seating area of the Berliner Festspielhaus. This is where I saw the Barbarians dance show last weekend. I loved this seating area near the bar. Just look at those fantastic windows.

Stylish runner-up

This shot was my stylish back-up. If you go inside this Kniepe, it's really nothing special. But it looks fantastic from the outside with all of those flower boxes full to the brim! Unfortunately, it's been too cold to sit outside, but I'm sure that patio will be full in the coming weeks.

Kreuzberg hangout

I usually don't like to make my posts early, but tomorrow is the CDP theme day so here's my weekly sign for your viewing pleasure. I found the Möbel-Olfe in Kreuzberg and something about the glittery background and the deer head together appealed to me. The bar actually looked quite nice inside as well. Beer and blood thinner

Marlene bear

The Marlene Bär stands outside the Marlene Bar (where else?) at the Intercontinental Hotel in Charlottenburg.
