Every good museum ends with a tour of the gift shop. But don't worry, our tour isn't over yet! I just wanted to showcase this quote from Humboldt himself for Signs, Signs.
I never see many people in these gift shops and certainly I don't see many people buying things. Maybe I'm just there at the wrong time. By the way, why do we need a "w" in the word, wrong. Why not just "rong?" English is crazy sometimes.
I like the quote!
ReplyDeleteIdeas are fertile material for active, inquiring minds!
ReplyDeleteNice quote!

ReplyDeleteThat is a nice quote and it leads you right to the gift shop :)
ReplyDeleteNice quote indeed and stay always curious. Also one Humboldt's characteristics.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid that if I walked down the stairs and read the sign the writing at the same time that I'd fall down the stairs...not too good at mutitasking

DeleteHoffentlich werden sie auch noch lange in vielen Köpfen lebendig!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy spending some time in there after a museum visit.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote and it's always fun to potter around gift shop:)
ReplyDeleteGreat quote
ReplyDeleteInteresting angles. I would argue with the quote though.
ReplyDeleteI hate to admit that there are a few museums I've been to where I've spent more time in the gift shops than the museums.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I love spending time in the Museum gift shop. I often buy a postcard of a work I liked or a magnet for my refrigerator gallery. :)
DeleteWhat a great idea for a stairwell.
ReplyDeleteTrue words.
