Looking back at how green the gardens were in October makes me long even more for the beginnings of spring. The gardens at the Schloss Charlottenburg were inspired by those at Versailles. There is some similarity, don't you think? Though certainly, nowhere near as grand!
What a lovely view!
ReplyDeleteThe gardens will be back soon...what a gorgeous sight this is! Patience, my dear. It's like golf. You can't rush your spring just like you can't rush your swing! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to see green! It was 19.5˚C here today!!
ReplyDeleteUpper 70s (24+C) here today.
ReplyDeleteOh, can't wait for this season to begin; such beautiful greenery!
ReplyDeleteYes the gardens of the people who could afford them. Marvelous.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see people out enjoying them.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the link for the palace Hal thanks. Not only the garden but the entrance to the palace also remind me of Versailles.

ReplyDeleteThey are similar on a smaller scale. I love those neatly trimmed trees along the center.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully green gardens!
ReplyDeleteGreen makes everyone feel good!
ReplyDeleteThe gardens there are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and yes, I think they are a little similar!
ReplyDeleteWell... One of those Franco-Prussian things.
ReplyDeleteWe've got signs of spring here but we're still enduring some nasty winter weather. Isn't the color green a wondrous sight around now?
ReplyDeleteThe gardens of castles are always wonderful to look at.
ReplyDeleteYes, it looks similar to Versailles, I think because of the style and pattern of the (left) garden. Coming from Marleen's blog, and I chuckled when I saw you comment on The Gaper. He has graced the drug store as long as I have been alive, but I have no idea why he has a turban - the only thing I can think of that it's a play on "words" with the "East -Indies" which was once a colony of Holland and the old name for what is now Indonesia. Have a great rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteHope I'll see you sometime on the Meme SEASONS -running from Mon-Wed till 7pm, Paciifc time:)
