These bathers can be found on the Museum Insel, that's the Berliner Dom in the background. I will show you some pictures from inside the church tomorrow. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in town, but unfortunately visitors have to pay an entrance fee.
Very nice. I don't like it when churches charge an entrance fee. Here in Montreal the Notre Dame Cathedral charges a fee, but the St. Joseph's Oratory does not. To be honest, and this has nothing to do with the fee (or lack of it), I much prefer St. Joseph's Oratory, as it is on the mountain (Mount Royal) and there is by far so much more to see.
ReplyDeleteA very evocative pair of sculptures.
ReplyDeleteNice shot, but I'm getting cold just looking at them! It never occurred to me that a church would charge a fee to visit, but the upkeep is probably expensive if they get a lot of visitors.
ReplyDeleteLove the sculptures Halcyon, would love to see them on a Berlin summer day :)
ReplyDeleteJ'adore ces quatre personnages et ils sont encore mieux sous la neige !
ReplyDeleteThat's a great angle, they do look very chilly though!
ReplyDeleteNaked statues and snow make me feel really cold.
ReplyDeletePS: It's snowing right now in the GTA with 5 to 10 centimetres expected to fall.
wonderful and i especially love the way you photographed them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...but I agree with the others that say they look chilly. ;)
ReplyDeleteO my they certainly do look cold
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful even if graced by a little bit of snow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sculptures and a wonderful composition!
ReplyDeleteThe snow adds a nice touch to them! We are up to -1˚C today.
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS! Terrific photo, Halcyon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art and what a COLD winter city.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful perspective and I love the contrast of the bronze and the snow!
