Found along Karl Marx Allée - this was once the fanciest shopping area of the DDR. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot for sale and what was on offer was typically unaffordable for most people. I do like this facade though, even if that's all it is really...
I like the Arcade too. Very empty outside..... It might be a reason or two for that.
ReplyDeleteIts from a begone time but still attractive to see.
ReplyDeleteI like this early morning (?) image in b/w.

ReplyDeleteInteresting architectural details.
ReplyDeleteLovely pic! I like it too!
ReplyDeleteI think I see shopping windows now? Or is it all empty?
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like the black and white here.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that amazing! Like a house of mirrors--smoke and mirrors.
ReplyDeleteThe arches look fab in black and white, I do like your DDR wanderings...
ReplyDeleteThe arches are beautiful but the area looks like such a ghost town! I usually like to have shots free of too many people but here it somehow looks abandoned. You've really caught a mood.
ReplyDeleteArches bring a touch of class to any area. Despite this, the area looks a little barren.
