King of hearts

I found the mural on this piece of the Berlin Wall rather intriguing. Is he the king of hearts or volleyball - or both?! Something to ponder this Monday. You can find more murals here.

  4. Is this part also in situ or placed later. Funny mural.

  5. I just visited a town that boasts of itself as being the place where volleyball was invented. I don't think they usually wear so little when they play there, though. :-)

  8. That was part of the Berlin wall? Huh! No wonder they tore it down! :))

    1. I'm not sure this is an original piece (it was torn down so quickly after it "came down"). But this stands where the wall would have stood back in those days. But remember, only people in the West could actually walk up to the wall. It was highly guarded in the East and there wouldn't have been graffiti on that side.

  11. Hard to interpret. One red figure wears something like a bikini while the other wears nothing (that I can see). The third panel says "united freedom" and the ball says "enjoy world" I think. Maybe it's about the energy of red any yellow.

  12. Poor Berlin Wall: I do not see this waste of paint as an improvement...

  13. Maybe he really is the king of volleyball, but he is also in good health.
    Nice mural.
