These lovely benches have been placed in the hallway leading up to the synagogue as a place for visitors to rest before the service. I just love those arched windows. Tomorrow I'll show some of the graves, hope you'll come back!
The windows and the benches are fabulous Hal, the synagogue is obviously very well tended.. Will we be surprised when we see the condition of the graves!

True, lovely windows. Those benches look very inviting!
ReplyDeleteNice benches. And I'm sorry but I couldn't help but think up a wisecrack: Every place of worship needs a place of rest before their services! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful setting with the benches and windows, Hal.
ReplyDeleteOh I will! Thank You
ReplyDeleteThe star of David is an appropriate touch. Those windows really let in a lot of light.
ReplyDeleteKind of lends a new meaning to the term "benchwarmer". :-)
ReplyDeleteThe windows could be 19th Century American with a nod towards colonial design. Looking forward to seeing the cemetery.
ReplyDeleteWonderful balance in your image with all the various shapes and patterns.
ReplyDeletea beautiful place to expect
ReplyDeleteGreat those David stars in the benches. Otherwise it is a bit nondescript space.
ReplyDeleteI like the way the benches fit right under the arched windows. The benches look sturdy and the Star of David is attractively placed on them.
ReplyDeleteNice benches.
ReplyDeletethose are beautiful benches...i'll be here!
ReplyDeleteboth the windows and benches are very beautiful and they look very nice together.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather stand and look out the wonderful windows.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful composition. And practically, the older I get the more I appreciate strategically placed benches.
ReplyDeleteThe benches are wonderful and so is the architecture. So glad this has been restored.
ReplyDeleteI too love those arched windows. The benches are attractive but, like so many, don't look very comfortable.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely !
