I found this mural inside a local church. Each of the smaller fish pasted onto the larger fish represent a child who was born and christened within the parish during the calendar year. A cute way to welcome new members to the flock. For more murals, take a look at Monday Mural.
I am having a really hard time coming up with something for tomorrow's theme. How are you feeling? Was this an easy one for you? Maybe I'll just take a picture of my sofa!
This mural is superb. Which church is it?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weeke ahead!
It's the village church in Alt Lubars. :)
DeleteI love the colours.
ReplyDeleteWe know that a fish is a symbol in christianity but this one is really a fun one with this color.
ReplyDeleteReally colourful and a lovely idea.

Love Greensboro's comment! It is a colourful and imaginative way to call attention to wee additions to the parish. I don't think the members are prolific 'cuz there's not much room on that fish for more! Tomorrow's theme? I'm with you. If one follows the strict definition, the last place I'd want to use is the place where I grew up. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Perhaps it could be stretched to something abstract?? I've looked at the Wiki definition and asked for ideas from my DH, which were good because it reflected my interests but didn't seem "quite right." Sigh!
ReplyDeleteNot as many people go to church here in Europe as in N. America, though many still pay the church tithe.
DeleteAnd the names are only left up for one year. The fish will be cleared at the end of 2016 to make room for babies born and christened in 2017.
DeleteNice idea and beautiful warm colours.
ReplyDeleteQuite interesting. I wouldn't expect to see a mural in a church, but great idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to say welcome to those little newcomers.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I'm having a hard time too. The sofa idea sounds good to me.
Cute and not something I've ever seen before.
ReplyDeleteI like that- very colourful!
ReplyDeleteI've got my theme post- though I have to add text. Something from my current series that seemed quite appropriate.
