The last stop on our cafe tour is the Süsskramdealer. It's a cute and quaint cafe/sweet shoppe located inside an old cigar shop. I've passed by many times and always wanted to give it a try, so I finally went for a visit recently with a friend.
In addition to hot drinks, they also serve cakes, sandwiches and salads. I guess you can already guess what I had... chocolate cake!
I'm not very good at denying myself the little pleasures of life. I'd definitely come back to this cafe, it's not so far from my home and I really liked the unique atmosphere. I hope you've enjoyed this week of cafes from Berlin. Happy weekend!
Well, if they had some English Breakfast tea, I think would join you. :-)
ReplyDeleteQuite an appealing shop to finish up with!
ReplyDeleteThat looks wonderful, if only they still sold cigars...Cuban of course :)
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed your cafes, especially all the chocolate!
ReplyDeleteThey have a nice selection of sweets :)
ReplyDeleteDid it also smelled a bit to tobacco. Still love that smell despite quitting smoking 35 years ago.
ReplyDeleteIs that three dollars twenty cents for a cafe au lait Hal? That's so reasonable!
ReplyDeleteIt's euros... and I find it kind of expensive. :) Guess it's all a matter of perspective.

ReplyDeleteOh, a place that's much to tempting to enter!! ;)
ReplyDeleteAnother great spot!
ReplyDelete'Schoc-moc', is that coffee with chocolate?
Kaffeeeeeeeeeee, my love!
ReplyDeleteit's interesting how they use the different size triangles on the calk board.
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy and nice. And a nice place.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed this series very much. Now I'm craving something chocolate. I'll need to did through my kitchen and find something.
ReplyDeleteLooks delightful and I'll bet it smells a little better than it did in its previous incarnation! :)
ReplyDeleteLots of great choices, can't go wrong!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of this place too!
ReplyDeleteIch bin gleich da und würde eigentlich gerne eine heisse Zitrone trinken!
ReplyDeleteI like the pattern in the froth on top of your coffee. (I suppose some of your Euros go into the artistry. Does that make the cost seem any more reasonable?) It looks like a nice atmosphere...even if the chocolate cake looks about 4 bites too small.
ReplyDeleteYes, Kay! I will just remember that part of the price of the drink goes towards the "art". :)
DeletePS: The chocolate cake was one of those warm ones that's really rich and melty in the middle. It looks small, but it was just the right amount.
DeleteIf these prices are euros, so there is a bit cheaper than we have in Finland.
ReplyDeleteLove you coffe photos.
We will have to find some when we visit. The setting in this one is lovely and the prices seem reasonable.
ReplyDeleteI think I will skip the candies, but the coffee looks most inviting.
