Sweet stuff

The last stop on our cafe tour is the Süsskramdealer. It's a cute and quaint cafe/sweet shoppe located inside an old cigar shop. I've passed by many times and always wanted to give it a try, so I finally went for a visit recently with a friend.

In addition to hot drinks, they also serve cakes, sandwiches and salads. I guess you can already guess what I had... chocolate cake!

I'm not very good at denying myself the little pleasures of life. I'd definitely come back to this cafe, it's not so far from my home and I really liked the unique atmosphere. I hope you've enjoyed this week of cafes from Berlin. Happy weekend!

  6. Did it also smelled a bit to tobacco. Still love that smell despite quitting smoking 35 years ago.

  7. Is that three dollars twenty cents for a cafe au lait Hal? That's so reasonable!

    1. It's euros... and I find it kind of expensive. :) Guess it's all a matter of perspective.

  18. I like the pattern in the froth on top of your coffee. (I suppose some of your Euros go into the artistry. Does that make the cost seem any more reasonable?) It looks like a nice atmosphere...even if the chocolate cake looks about 4 bites too small.

    1. Yes, Kay! I will just remember that part of the price of the drink goes towards the "art". :)

    2. PS: The chocolate cake was one of those warm ones that's really rich and melty in the middle. It looks small, but it was just the right amount.
