After looking through my archives, I have realized that I probably don't need to take any more new photos for months! But I suppose it is nicer when the shots are seasonally appropriate. Although it looks bright and summery, this photo was actually taken in September; we had a fantastic Indian summer in Berlin this year.
I found the bird mural at the Mauer Garten in Kreuzberg. It's an interesting section of the city where many people live out of caravans or in other makeshift lodgings. It's Monday again, so don't forget to visit Monday Mural for your weekly fix!
Nice murals, do like the sparrow
ReplyDeleteWe have an Indian summer here again, 12 degrees C. strange, but it makes you go outside to enjoy the weather and the murals. The birdie is very sweet painted.
ReplyDeleteI like the shadow spreading across the first mural--seems almost like it's part of the mural itself.
ReplyDeleteAt first glance I thought your bird here was a Kookaburra Hal :) Archive photos can be so handy when you've been too busy to get out and about!
ReplyDeleteBoth are great, but the colors on the second one are so bright! Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteNice mural. I like it.
ReplyDeleteI love that bird!
ReplyDeleteNeat mural with the house sparrow!
ReplyDeleteWarm day here in Toronto for November going to 12C today.
ReplyDeletelove the sparrow on the wire! very bright on the other, too!
ReplyDeleteThat sparrow mural's quite beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe bird mural is so nice!
ReplyDeleteLove the sparrow!
ReplyDeleteIt was +17˚C here today at noon - and sunny but it has clouded over and the temp is dropping.
I heard the weather has been crazy over there. And some people don't believe in climate change...
DeleteI was quite surprised to see this bird in a Berlin wall. I thought it could have been painted by the same artist who painted the ones I photographed a long time ago here in Belo: https://belohorizontedailyphoto.wordpress.com/2013/09/02/monday-murals-collective-mural/
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure this was painted by Mustafa Akyol as advertised. But I like your birds too!
DeleteI love that sparrow!!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting art work and it sounds like an interesting part of the city. Is it safe?
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great time in Spain and got in lots of good golf!
I have never felt unsafe anywhere in Berlin. I think the people in this area are pretty friendly, it's sort of a hippie-ish vibe.
DeleteThe vacation was excellent. My golf could still do with some improvement!
Oh, I do like that bird!
ReplyDelete"Like a bird on a wire, like a drunk in a midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free." Couldn't help myself; it's what jumped into my head when I saw your sparrow. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone about the bird mural. And I'm pleased to read that you've never felt unsafe anywhere in Berlin. There are many places in the U.S. where that cannot be said.
ReplyDeleteThe bird art looks like it is made with love:)
