As promised, here's another look at the Wine Festival in full swing. As you can see, it's very popular and it's sometimes a challenge to find an empty seat at the picnic tables.
The tents were recently put up so people can still enjoy the Festival when it rains (we've been having a lot of storms lately). What do you think - does take away wine look better in black and white or color?
I think the colour version works best. It's not a surprise that the place draws crowds.
ReplyDeletei like the welcoming glow of the lights!
ReplyDeleteI like the colour - somehow it suits a wine fest!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I vote for extending the festival into perpetuity. Secondly, I vote for the color just like the wine being consumed. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I like the color version. It gives warmth to the people and the lighted areas. Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteI agree with TexWisGirl, the welcoming glow of the lights is great!
ReplyDeleteJ'aime bien les ambiances des deux mais là désolée il y a de la place donc je vais me dépêcher pour m'asseoir dans la photo noir et blanc !
ReplyDeleteThey both capture the atmosphere of the evening perfectly!
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me you wait till someone falls over drunk then take their seat. Mind you there are some seats in the second photo. Looks like everyone is haveing d good time
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't see any empty seats. But I can drink wine standing up. :))
ReplyDeleteI prefer color, so I can better distinguish between red wine and white wine ;-)
ReplyDeleteGood thinking, Karl! :)
DeleteTake out WINE! Now, there's an idea.
ReplyDeleteI think I would enjoy this festival very much!
ReplyDeleteNever ask me anything like this: the world is in colors and I can't understand B&W photos...
ReplyDeleteI like your way of looking at things VP. At least I try to give my audience options. ;-)
DeleteI like both Hal, I am a bit partial to a b&w :) I can see how popular the wine festival is, hope the weather didn't spoil things!
ReplyDeleteNice evening at a nice place:)
ReplyDeleteThe lights hanging there are better in the B&W version, I think. But for the rest I like both photo's, looks like everybody is having a great time.
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of festival I like to come across when I travel. The best festivals are the ones that the locals attend, not ones made for tourists. I am not quite as doctrinaire as VP about color and black-and-white, but most times I prefer color . . . it is the way our eyes see life. Still, there are times when converting photos to B+W works. I like the colored photo better in this pairing.
