It's nice that the museum has offered these benches as a place to rest, but this room was totally empty. I'd much rather sit in a place where you can at least contemplate the artwork on the walls. I also find the placement of that church thingie (technical term) and the spotlight somewhat random.
It's Friday again! Do you have any big plans for the weekend? I'll be out on the golf course and hopefully will also have some time to get out and about for some pictures of the gorgeous fall weather we've been having. Whatever you have planned, I hope you enjoy it!
Is it an in-between room maybe? It's empty indeed!
ReplyDeletedefinitely odd pairings. :)
ReplyDeleteHave no idea of the purpose or role of the church "thingie."
ReplyDeleteIt does seem to be an oddity. I think we'll need someone of a clerical background to identify the thingie.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they're moving things around and these are temporary placements? Have fun on the golf course. I'm going to try to get out next week if possible! Check out http://www.landlfotos.com/blog.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like one of those leftover rooms. I'm with you that I'd rather find benches where I can sit and take in something interesting. Perhaps heaven knows what the church thingie is. I can't venture a guess.
ReplyDeleteMight be nice to clear one's palate for more art!
ReplyDeleteDo come on Sunday if you are able, to share in my big revelation. My blog will never be the same!

Maybe they put the benches in that empty space without any artwork on the walls to give people a rest from art viewing, or perhaps they didn't want to "play favourites" by placing certain art there? LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteI get the impression the powers that be are in the middle of moving things around. :)
ReplyDeletePerhaps they were after quiet solitude.
ReplyDeleteTalk about sitting in the spotlight Hal :) I do enjoy a good 'technical' term :)
