Happy German Unity day! Last year marked 25 years since The Wall fell and today is the 25th anniversary of a reunited Germany. There will be lots of celebrating going on and hopefully I will make it to the fireworks show at the Brandenburg Gate tonight. Hope you also have some nice plans for the weekend!
A lot sure has happened in those 25 years--good things. There ought to be some celebrating. :-)
ReplyDelete25 years! Tempus fugit!
ReplyDeletea great thing to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time!
ReplyDelete25 years.... still astonishing after all this time.
ReplyDeleteBerlin was an eyeopener for me and I learned so much about the Wall. Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteAn important event in history to remember.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fireworks show I in which I would like to participate. Wars are so stupid. 35 years ago, people were shot dead for trying to breach the wall. A few years before that the Vietnam War ended with 58,000 Americans dead, million of Vietnamese killed.
ReplyDeleteIndeed a time of celebration!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy! Would love to be there today!
ReplyDeleteA worth celebrating day! No doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe that it has been 25 years! Have fun.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's something to celebrate! Hard to believe it's been 25 years.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful reason to celebrate. I'm still marveling at your earlier post about the ladder people used to see their family on the other side! Amazing to me that it has been 25 years ago!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like it must have been much longer, right?
DeleteI can't beleive it's just 25 years...it seems like So long ago...
ReplyDeleteTwenty-five years is a fantastic milestone. It's hard to believe NOW that Germany was ever divided, but then I didn't have to live under Soviet rule.
