Strange name

I don't find this name for a restaurant particularly appealing, but I think I'll have to check it out one of these days out of sheer curiosity! For more signs, visit Signs, Signs.

  1. No, it is not appealing at all. And the lettering looks like it is Chinese? They should know better.

  4. Très franchement, moi ça ne me dérange pas, parce que c'est vrai, il y a du white trash. J'aime bien l'armoire électrique peinte sur le trottoir !

  5. Maybe it is deliberately meant to draw attention? I agree it is not appealing..

  7. Now I'm sure they would say something about that in this country

  8. It wouldn't tempt me to go in!

  9. It's so American, ha! Maybe it's meant to bring in the American expatriate crowd. And I agree, the lettering is weirdly "oriental". Strange marketing, but whatever works!

  10. It's not a chinese restaurant but an american inspired one with heavenly food, cocktails and a lot of good rock'n roll events.

  11. At first I thought it might be one of those weird translations that the Chinese seems to like. Then again, maybe they like the shock value?

  13. It's in Berlin and the signage is in English. What gives? Do the Trailer Park Boys not know German?

  14. That's one of the funniest signs I've ever seen. "White Trash" is such a derogatory term! Sheesh!

  15. Hmmmm what do they serve I wonder?! Definitely a unique name :)

  16. The "White Trash" part is derogatory on the basis of race and also class. There is a white trash cookbook that features fried foods and food with Velveeta Cheese.

  17. Derogatory to my mind, but I actually know people who consider it a badge of honor to call themselves that. (Not good friends, but they do exist in my world.) I'd really be interested to know what they serve. You could just walk in and ask for a menu maybe.

  18. Well, this is definitely a one-of-a-kinder. Not too appealing, but I agree with you. I think I would have to try it anyway.

  19. wonder if this is a case of lost in translation.

    frankly my dear.

  20. Not a place you'd want to be seen in. I can't imagine someone in Australia wanting to eat at a restaurant called Bogan Fast Food.

  21. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Do they serve fried bologna sandwiches with Velveeta? :-)
