Continuing on yesterday's "worker" theme, here's a look at my kitchen from back in June. I assure you, it looks much different today! Although it's hard work, I think there is also some kind of fun to be had in destruction (in a controlled setting like this, of course).
Hope your week is well underway - I've sent in a few more job applications and I hope to be hearing something soon.
oh, that just makes my head hurt. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! What a mess. Looks like we've reached back to the time of the Romans. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to show us a pic of the new kitchen when it's finished.
ReplyDeleteWow! I have gone through some kitchen remodeling in the past and they were no fun. This looks like you are starting from scratch.
ReplyDeleteYikes! That is a mess!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see the finished room; it has lots of light which is such a good asset!
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen is north-facing and our living room is south-facing. I am so happy for that. I wouldn't want to love in a dark place!
DeleteWhat a disaster!!! I bet it was a pleasure and relief when it was done! :)
ReplyDeleteOuch, we are undergoing the same thing at the moment. Fingers crossed for your applications!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is what I call major renovation.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look as just change the cupboards here. A great and bit costly renovation I assume.
ReplyDeleteThat part looks like fun. I probably would be all thumbs if I had to rebuild it.
ReplyDeleteYup that looks familiar Hal :) Good luck with the job applications.
ReplyDeleteOH MY! No wonder it has taken so long for you to move into your new place!
ReplyDeleteOh boy, you really did have to do some crazy restoration work!
ReplyDeleteYikes! You could have been on HGTV! Or maybe you were. Are you going to show us the finished product?
ReplyDeleteI wish they had HGTV here. I sent in an application for Househunters International, but never heard anything back...
DeleteIf anything, it's very satisfying.
ReplyDeleteYou realise now that you'll have to show us the current state of affairs... :)
Big, tall windows. Lots of light. High ceilings. And with those stone walls you're not about to find any dry rot. Looks like a wonderful room. Like everyone else I hope we can see some "after" shots!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of you this week and wondering how the new home was coming along.
ReplyDelete(I long for a kitchen with windows!)
Could you please show us of your kitchen NOW? It must be a wonderful room to cook and sit around a big table with friends and drinking wine.
