For a price, you can see the city of Berlin from above in the "Der Welt" helium balloon. On this gray day, I thought it better to stay on the ground and get a shot of it in the sky. The weekend is finally upon us! I hope you've got some exciting plans underway. I am going to meet with friends to play cards and maybe go see a comedy show. It should be fun! For more skies, take a look at Skywatch.
Beautiful capture. It must be lovely to view Berlin from the sky!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as grey thee as it is here!
ReplyDeleteI'll stay on the ground, if you don't mind.
ReplyDeleteToday I played golf. My back has been hurting but I thought it would be OK to play. Right now I can barely stand up!
Excellent composition with this shot!
ReplyDeleteHot air balloons taking off here tends to be more confined for warmer months!
Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun! But, like you, I am staying grounded this weekend ;^)
ReplyDeleteThats cool, a balloon over Berlin
ReplyDeletegreat shot! i don't think i'd like to take a hot air balloon tour...have fun with your friends!
ReplyDeleteNo snow in Berlin? They had a helium balloon as far back as I can remember:)
ReplyDeleteIt certainly brightens up a leaden looking sky!
ReplyDeleteI've not been up in a balloon, which is probably a good thing considering my fear of heights. Step-ladders scare me! Looks like a gray day and you're probably right about staying on the ground. Plus, you'll have fun playing cards and seeing a comedy act. That's what people call my golf game - a comedy act! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLovely composition with ballon, and blue as sky. greeting from Belgium
ReplyDeleteThe balloon is actually helium-filled. It's not a hot-air balloon. It is kept "captive" with a sort of netting system. I have been on this kind of balloon before, but never on the one here in Berlin. Maybe this summer. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we were there we kept postponing and at last we missed the lift! Next time...
ReplyDeleteLove your angle. There's a brother balloon in Paris!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Halcyon, especially when you can get shots like this without even leaving the ground :)
ReplyDeleteThere's something magical about this photo. It is beautiful.
