I've shown you the modern U-Bahn cars, so now here's a look at one of the original cars from the Berlin subway. These old cars were nicknamed "owls" because of the big bright lights in front. I think they're rather cute! It's pretty amazing that after all these years, the color of the cars has not really changed much. I guess when you have a good formula, there's no reason to come up with a new one.
This is so cool! It looks so Art Déco!
ReplyDeleteSame colours as the Lisbon trams.
ReplyDeleteJ'aime les vieux transports. Ca me rappelle le métro parisien que je prenais avec ma grand mère, quand les sièges étaient encore en bois !
ReplyDeleteShould I be worried that I am old enough that this looks familiar?
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt really does look old fashioned!
ReplyDeleteI think subway cars are sort of like school buses. They just don't seem to change in any substantial way. At least in looks. Not sure if that is good or bad. Hopefully, the technologies utilized are updated on a regular basis. With school buses, I'm not so sure!
ReplyDeleteI think it's good to keep the colour the same - not so confusing when the changes happen. ;)
ReplyDeleteA real classic looking car!
ReplyDeleteSo cool Halcyon. Love the two tone effect.. Things were so classy back in the day don't you think..
ReplyDeleteIn case you don't hear it coming, you can definitely see it coming. Love the color.
