Do you know what this is? I believe some of my Canadian friends might recognize this substance.
Although it looks like a giant swirl of toothpaste, it's actually ice from one of the outdoor skating rinks you can find around town this time of year. It's finally been cold enough for outdoor skating, but unfortunately my skates are still in the container! I hope we find a place to live soon, so I can get a few rounds in before the season is over.

It does fit the toothpaste kind of look...
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! And it does indeed look like toothpaste.
ReplyDeleteIce? Really? I was believing the toothpaste idea.
ReplyDeleteWho knew ice could by an architectural quality.
ReplyDeleteVery cool - no pun intended!
ReplyDeleteAh zut, ça ne sent pas la menthe ?
ReplyDeleteVery cool shot!
ReplyDeleteI imagine it would be a big job laying it all to skate on!
ReplyDeleteI thought the Pillsbury Doughboy was having a bad day.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite fantastic. It would make a great "modern" photo if you cropped everything except the ice. I'd like to see someone skate on it, though!
ReplyDeleteGood luck finding your skates. I can't find anything after a move. :)
I smiled when you said it looked like toothpaste. That was my first thought too. ;)
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteSo cold!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen ice like this before, amazing!
